'Get Real Sessions have offered our school consistency and reliability in our PSHE teaching. Becky’s videos and activities have been fantastic at engaging students in PSHE, enabling teachers to become facilitators to classroom discussion. Thanks Becky!’

Sophie Maxted, Head of PSHEE, Abbeywood Community School

I highly recommend using these “Get Real” lessons to support the delivery of PSHCE. They are an excellent resource to ensure provision of high quality lessons without any additional preparation! I was impressed by the way that Becky presented the material in an interesting, age appropriate way that wasn’t at all patronizing. My Year 10 tutor group engaged well with the activities/discussions and were prompted to think more carefully about the choices they were making. Using these Get Real resources will help all teachers (especially non-specialists) ensure that these important topics are taught to a high standard.

Very clear and concise communication. The tasks are spot on, giving time for reflection and sharing ideas. The content was really age appropriate and was the right level of challenge.

Becky has worked with Brook designing and delivering a range of RSE lesson for KS3 and KS4 students in secondary school. She has taught a range of issues including Body image, healthy relationships, contraception and STI’s, consent, sexting and pornography. Becky makes her sessions interactive, flexible and creative. This approach to teaching responds well to different learning needs of students.  She has had consistently excellent feedback from students.

From her very first delivery within the NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe Programme, Becky was a very competent and confident presenter. Within the assembly setting; whether talking to 50 or 500 children, she successfully managed to engage the entire audience through tone and pace of voice but also through visual cues. She took the key messages within the programme and adapted them to suit her own delivery style.
Within the class-based workshop sessions, Becky delivered in a child centric manner, allowing the children space and time to formulate their own ideas about the sensitive subjects being discussed. Her manner allowed the children to feel confident in their questions and answers.
